Real Tidings Policies

This page reflects the business practices and standards that we use to guide our client interactions. You will notice a heavy reliance on Internet based communication - this is because we spend more time online working than otherwise. These are largely fast, free and instant types of communication.

Charges

  • Current rates are $60 per hour (not applied to packages).
  • We will invoice in 15 minute increments, using PayPal. Occasionally, we will take other forms of payment. Please contact us to arrange something.
  • There is no charge for most estimates. If you require a very detailed estimate or project plan, regular rates will apply.
  • You will be notified of any charges that are NOT included here, before they are applied.
  • No hidden fees.

Free Support

  • Basic support in the Real Tidings Forum is free.  Expect a response within 1-3 business days.
  • For Clients - any email question that requires less than 10 minutes to answer is done at no charge. These emails may be added to the forum if the solution is thought to be useful to other people.

Email - Primary Communication

  • Email is the best way to get in touch with us:
    • there is a paper trail
    • its easier to organize
    • we constantly check/update email
  • Normal reply time is 2-10 business hours
  • For emergency communication, use the contact us form on the site. Emergency support from this form is sent via email and text message to cell phone.
  • Emergency support will be invoiced a minimum of 30 minutes and will be responded to within one business hour.

  • Voicemail is checked once each business day.
  • Replies will be made by phone or email, as appropriate.
  • Usual reply time (and the best time to call) is between 3-6pm central.
  • BEST PRACTICE : Schedule a phone meeting to assure I have enough time blocked out for you.

These policies and practices are designed to enable us to respond as efficiently as possible to our many clients, while balancing the need to focus on the current projects and jobs at hand. Our goal is to get your project planned, scheduled and completed as quickly as possible.

By limiting our communication window, and setting expectations for replies in various formats, we hope to give our clients a good idea of what they can expect from us.

Consider that when we are working on YOUR project, you will want 100% of our time, attention and ability focused on your tasks. In this way, we hope to provide a high level of service for all of our clients.
